You will learn how to perform jobs around the house, and how this collaboration affects others at home. You will learn about and demonstrate responsibility for helping at home by completing chores, and monitoring your progress on a checklist.
In this challenge children will learn about responsibility. They will learn about and demonstrate responsibility for helping at home by completing chores and monitoring their progress on a checklist. This challenge highlights the different jobs or chores that children can do to help at home and what their roles and responsibilities at home might include. They will understand who their direct community is and their role in that community. This will help with understanding their wider community, their role within it, and how their decisions and choices impact others either positively or negatively. In this challenge, mentors will review simple ways that children can help at home and why it is important to do these things. Children will learn how to dust, sweep, how to make their bed, how to wash clothes, wash dishes, take out the trash, fold the washing, etc.
